We left the isles! This picture was taken a couple of hours ago, with our Brookie waiting in line to go into the ferry.
Our journey has so far been epic in more ways than even I could imagine. It is difficult for me to do a full write up of it using the smartphone and many of the pictures we took aren't even stored in it so I'm sorry but for now I'll just leave here an 'index'of the chapters this journey's book deserved if it ever was written!
Here goes:
Day 1 - Thursday, August 14th - The wake up call: "Car is ready, get to England ASAP!"
Day 2 - Friday, August 15th - Meeting Mark, Jay, and our M3W!"
Day 3 - Saturday, August 16th - Speeding off to Ireland. The PaddyMog dinner
Day 4 - Sunday, August 17th - Breakfast at Laragh. Struck by MO63WLR's curse! The noisy trip to Kilkenny!
Day 5 - Monday, August 18th - The Kilkenny friend helps locally. Robbie helps internationally. The yelllow Morgan's home farewell
Day 6 - Tuesday, August 19th -Back to England. Being saved by the 'Spaniels'.
Day 7 - Wednesday, August 20th - Catching the Ferry to Spain. "Oh no, 24 hours without driving the 3 wheeler, better get drunk and post something in Talk Morgan!"
The car has now clocked about 1200 kms, its first srvice has been made at Williams, after we reach Spain we atill have about 650 kms before we reach home. After that I'll leave it there to gb south to Lisbon for two weeks, will return up with the Plus 4 and will get both cars to Caramulo, where I hope both will properly show what Morgans can do up a hill. So, we're far from over with this journey.
I will write more in a proper writeup sometime after I get to Lisbon. So far I'd like to say abig and public THANK YOU to Robbie and also to Mike, Lawrie, the Williams Morgans family and entire workforce. Without their help, this journey could well have a very different and less pleasant story to be told.
Cheers all, and thanks for your interest. Forgive any spelling mistakes, this is being written on a boat off the French coast, and with two thumbs trying to hit yhe correct spot in a miniscule smartphone screen keyboard.
