Fitted a door handle last year and it cost about £60/- .
( it had stuck fast ) .

No exterior door handles on my 4/4
I do have an excellent steering wheel lock when parked up and away from the car, and also tend to use the storm cover.

Normally I never lock them. I would prefer a toe rag open the door than cuts the hood

Thanks all. Now the way the locks work make sense.
When I got the car Nick Baker (MMC sales) said to be careful not to lock the door from the inside as it wouldn't open with the key - now I understand why.

yes, it is. The true reason why, is: to appease the driver's wife with a glance of senseless security feeling. Why senseless? Just slide open the side window and pull the hood release to get easy access to the luggage compartment behind the seats...
