I have just spent a happy hour back in 1979...
How?
I bought a new Vinyl copy of "the Wall".... So, so much better than the CD. There is more there, more emotion, more soul... Side 3...how I feel these days about work.
But then I do have a somewhat OTT audio system..LP12, ARCAM preamp and monoblocks driving QUAD ELS 63s...
Floyd fans always welcome.

Only have The Wall on cd. Bought it during a phase I went through building up my cd collection when I was throwing out old tapes.
I never had it on vinyl, but I still have my clear vinyl of Dark Side of the Moon.
Takes me back to my yoof.

My wifes' first concert Pink Floyd Animals at the Empire pool Wembley.
I had at the time a flat in Clapham North and drove daily across Vauxhall bridge & could see the pig flying over Battersea Power Station

I was always a Steeleye Span fan. I went to see them on tour at Exeter Corn Exchange not long ago - the hall was full of grey-haired old codgers like myself. Maddie Prior, not as slim as she used to be, can still do the business. Wonderful.

Actually if you can remember it all you weren't really there..... I was not there, but I was in Hyde Park - June 1969 to see Canned Heat's free concert. Lovely memories. Regarding The Who - if you ever meet the lovely Lady Budster, she has an interesting story about that band!
