We are alarmed with CCTV and neighbours who may be described as 'hard'. When they awoke to find a Yoof at the bottom of their bed my neighbour leapt naked from the bed and subdued the intruder in a head lock, before getting dressed..............
An old couple on our estate have just been victim to a freak accident. A visitor over the road left his new Peugeot parked half on the pavement some distance along the road. The handbrake didn't hold, it rolled back (there's hardly a slope), and described a gentle arc, mounting the pavement on the opposite side, no wall, so onto the grass with a progressively steeper slope, but not really steep. It hit a sticking out part of the front of their bungalow - looks like a large wide chimney breast but isn't. It punctured the outer skin, punctured the inner skin, and damaged the 'sideboard'. Large chunks of plaster have dropped from the wall, and the cracks go right round the 90degree corners in both directions. It's a real mess, and work starts on Monday. The whole wall has to come down and be rebuilt. Had that ben a window, it would have gone into the lounge, and may have seriously injured them.

Sorry to hear of your break in John! I hope whatever they took is simply replaceable.
I always try to find solace in thinking they've got crap lives (which may be why they do this) but as long as they continue to do acts like this so will their lives remain crap, and that's more just than a soft prison sentence.
