Thank you very much for all the enthusiastic responses!
I made my opinion that i have to consider red as well as green and rich maroon. To be visible for other traffic participants is an important point either. I have got a lot to think about.
@eric gill sans: especially to you many thanks for sharing your detailed considerations, it helps me a lot.

I agree, darkish red looks very classy especially with black trim.
Highlight the trim with the same red paint colour and you're on to a winner!

I also liked the idea of Ivory and Rich Maroon so I opted for Ivory body and Rich Maroon wings.

Hopefully it will work.

I used to be indecisive but now I´m not so sure!

Cream interiors are difficult to keep clean but look great with green or maroon (in my humble opinion). No doubt you have trawled the internet for colours but I am sure that once you see the right combination it will just "click".

Yup, but the Rich Maroon is considerably darker than that unless it is in bright sunlight in which case it seems to take on a more vibrant red tinge.

Thanks for the pic.

Great choice! Yes, it was bright (2nd Pic). The wings are definitely maroon. The 1981 dispatch log says the colors are Royal Ivory and Regency Red. Probably the best color of any of my Morgans.

Cheers,

Ralph,
I've looked at the two cars in build at the moment. The first one, a 4/4 is in Morgan Rich Maroon, see first photo.
The second, on a Three Wheeler, is a bit more exotic...the colour from the build book is
" 57-65 jaguar Imperial Maroon. PPG/Ditzler Paint Code 50553.

Hope that gives you an idea!

Where we are talking different tones of red I just remembered Guenter Biener´s "old Maserati red" 3W. Also a nice option.

My wife always gives good advice:

I would not go for that cherry red, she said, as long as you would not wear a handbag and shoes in the same color. (Ouch!)

And you can forget that mussolini red either (she meant ferrari red): you have no moustache, you are 52 and the width of your waist is a little too big for that color.

And that rolls royce garnet red does not fit your grey hair. You should consider something more classic, she said.

What do you mean with: more classic - something of oak with handles?
