Browsing through the images on this site I've seen on some cars that the black plastic dash which surrounds the dash instruments has been replaced with aluminium templates. Does anyone know where I can get these for a current spec RHD Roadster? I like my wood dash, but would like to replace the plastic inserts, ideally with the same hole alignment to allow existing instruments and switches to be simply swapped.

Contact Jays, he has all the information as he had it done.
The supplier is in Germany, so should be easy for you!

Hi Milt. I replaced the standard black panel with one from M-K .
Matthias is extremely helpful and speaks good English if you need to speak to him. Not cheap but of the highest quality.
My panel, covered in machine turned stainless steel sourced by M-K from the supplier to Bugatti for the Veyron trim, was an exchange item and very simple to swop.

PS. Whoops, just re-read your post......ignore the speaks English part! It's been a long day!
Incidentally, the standard panel is plastic laminated steel.

Jays purchased from Mk Holtztechnic, very high quality but not cheap. I used them for a Walnut dash for my +8.

I am considering of the doing the same on my Roadster but manufacturing the inserts myself from stainless with engine turnings on it (swirls).

cheers

I take it you mean the dial surrounds?
I did consider doing mine but with a walnut dash thought it might be a little OTT.

Anybody got pictures of a "finished"job ?

My car came with "engine turned" alloy insets in the doors.
Its actually a vinyl wrap & was very professionally done
BUT
They looked naff so have now been replaced with black vinyl
( as original)
A pic of the alloy inserts shown below

Jays, thanks. Yes, I'm looking for the centre section and the section behind the steering, as the black plastic lets down an otherwise classy interior. I have contacted M-K. Regards
