We followed one round one year at the Silverstone Classic run. It was a 914 base with a flat 6 transplant as I recall and a bit customised, but quite a nice thing. Surprisingly low and wide.
I might have a photo of it somewhere.

That sounds nice Dave I recall them with a lot lower roofline than the 911 but that could be the old memory fading.
Be nice if the picture is around some time especially for Rich.

I think it was lime green, and may even have been German registered. It went very well................

Nice story about your father in law Richard which reminds us that in the end cars are just lumps of metal and it's family and friends that are the most important things in life.

Thanks Clipper these pastimes we share are lovely distractions though - onwards and upwards - that 914 is looking handsome and I 'd forgotten they had Fuchs wheels does that go with the 6 conversion I wonder.

had a 993 rumble past me today at 30mph in a village and it sounded very good , must have had a sports exhaust , that is what I would have bought as a fun car and investment if the pull of a Mog had not happened !! 993's are climbing towards £30k now !
