Perfect Morgan driving weather this afternoon in the North West of England. We all wrapped up warm with hats and scarves, I donned my Coastal Command shearling and we drove from Croston, through Southport down to the Sparrow hawk in Formby for a late lunch and back through Banks, Hesketh Bank & Tarleton
Tucked the Mog up for the night and now enjoying a nice cup of tea - ahhh!

Yes. Falmouth to Penzance and back. Hood down (some light drizzle). Exchanged greetings with a black moggie (he had the hood up). Too many tractors!

Yes to Cricket St. Thoms and back for FossilMog lunch, a few new faces and lots to talk about. Roof off there and back, great after a week not driving LLR.

A very interesting trip out yesterday to check that everything is doing what it should after the braking system overhaul. About 1/4 mile from home I stop just to check nothing is overheating wheel wise (one problem with the + 8 being it will carry on with ease through a sticky brake) the next thing I am aware of is a blacked out Range Rover hovering on the roadside and the drivers window opening, a voice calls out "Hi mate is it a Morgan" yes being the reply "very nice" thank you I reply and ask him if he is down for the week "yes" so I wish him a good one and we go our separate ways. Unremarkable where's the old git going with this one, but it was the Big Man that has a second home at the bottom of my garden Martin Osbourne Johnson, and although we pass pleasantries in JSS or on a walk in the village he didn't know I owned the Blue machine. Phil Vickery has had a place in the village for a number of years - it's a nice anonymous village where everyone gets on with there lives uninterrupted. Apparently Jay Kay moved into the village a month or so ago - all I know is there was a £2M property sold about that time I am reliably informed that he is a pop star and Ferrari fan, so I look forward to hearing a V12 if it's a proper one. So onwards to Buckfastleigh via Totnes return having paused for thought and reflection in the wonderful rough hewn glass brick walled chapel. The brakes seemed to work as designed so Aeroscreens next on the list.

No, had originally planned to go to the fossil Mog Lunch but then the MSCC NMC became a priority so went up to near Coventry in the TinTop...
A34/M40/A46, all "motorway like' roads and not a route for enjoyment, especially in an open car.
The MSCC meeting was most interesting and enjoyable, met a number of old friends and some new.

Saturday the mog equivalent of trips around the bay, three visitors all wanting a ride. Lanes from barn complex to more lanes overlooking Plymouth Sound to Mountbatten and back, very enjoyable and three smiling guests

Richard. Please post a photograph when the screens are on. Surely - I have a spare Everflex cover from the 4/4 Sport (the +8 being a mohair one and I'd like to leave it intact) which I can modify for fitting with the Aero's but it would be most useful if you could send me a picture of yours in the area around the bases of the screens so my wife can see what she has taken on.

A cracking drive to work this morning, the roads were a bit emptier than usual. I love autumn mornings, they alway seem quite peaceful somehow. I'll have to try and sneak out of the office a bit earlier to enjoy myself a bit on the way home.
