I will try going round some corners faster while looking at the light. Don't think I've ever triggered mine so a bit concerned that I'm not going fast enough.

I will try going round some corners faster while looking at the light. Don't think I've ever triggered mine so a bit concerned that I'm not going fast enough. I would wager that your brake fluid reservoir is sufficiently full to prevent the light coming on.

The car in question is an M3W. Hopefully, it is, in fact, the brake fluid level; I would not want to go through all the trouble of accessing the center console just for this.
Busy week, but expect to get to this one tomorrow; I will keep you guys posted on results.

Finally had a chance to look into this, and it was, in fact, a problem of a slightly low brake fluid level. Thanks Burgundymog and all!
