Good one
Mine is a 99 4/4, I have a Librands rack to fit, the one that drops down and is secured by the spare wheel centre bolt, this rack has sort of side bars which fix the luggage from sideways movement and keep clear of the lights.
Steve Simmonds says he has been looking at a box to fit this and use the stainless clamp he makes to secure it which could work OK and there are the boat bags that can fit above this.
At the Noggin at Beeley there was a chap there also doing luggage in fibreglass but really to fit behind the seats on 2 seaters
Has anyone a better solution? we usually take the estate car to France and I want to go in the Morgan in 09 so with the wife and 2 lads (ok the 3 males can manage with a tee shirt and spare socks) but have you any idea how much the better 99% can take?
Then there is how to get home the wine?
Suggestions very welcome

Be selfish. The best, evident, solution is to take both cars. You in the Mog and your family in the other car and all the luggages. If your boys have their driving licence, you can get your wife as a passenger in the Mog. Let them go 3 or 4 hours earlier than you. They will take the motorways and big roads, and have the time to download and unpack the luggages, put drinks in the fridge, etc... When you will arrive at the end of the day, after a nice journey around the peacefull little roads and a good restaurant at noon, everything will be ready for the "apéritif". H3

H3 What a civilised chap you are, sadly sons are 13 and 6 yrs, wife only has automatic licence, ferry very expensive at half term week, in fact holiday with ferry trip and hotel for 4 days is cheaper than the crossing alone! (Roscoff-Plymouth)
I'll just have to try something else, perhaps drink lots of aperitif and simply be too happy to notice the complaints from the Chief General Manager

H3 What a civilised chap you are, sadly sons are 13 and 6 yrs... Granny will enjoy to have her 2 nice grandsons during holidays 09. If Granny is not available as she is with her new boyfriend in Bahamas for a cruise, their are summer camps: SAS training, Survivors, etc... And take the mog'. Without kid, from nice hotels to vineyards in your nice mog', you will be again this slim and handsome guy you were, and your wife will become your gilrfriend again. Mrs H3 & I have juste made 4.000km around France and it's little "routes départementales" with our new v6 roadster and well, maybe the best holidays of our life. h trois, your custom luggage is wonderful ... The luggages were made thru Morgan France: http://www.morganfrance.com/pages/pieces/accessoires34.html The case and the 2 bags are enough for 3 weeks of apparel & shoes for a reasonably "elegant" couple (as long as you make them clean up from time to time) H3

H3, The Morgan France luggage is very nice and looks good, the only problem we would have is that it is too wide, in the UK they do not like you covering up the rear lights.
You are right about going off on your own but it is not possible for us, so we have to find a way of taking the sprogs along as well.
slim and handsome how did you guess?

By "rear light" you mean the 3rd stop light up to the spare wheel? (the other rear lights are not covered) To be honest, in France the 3rd stop light is compulsory as well, but almost all morgan owner take it off as the police never arrest us for such thing when you are in a mog' (they cant' imagine it's a brand new car). And I don't imagine as well a French policeman arresting a English mog' for lack of the 3rd stop light... Are english cops so vicious to arrest a venerable mog' without its 3rd stop light? The real problem with this case is the rear mirror. You have to deal with the side mirors only if you dont have an up/down adjustable interior mirror. And regarding you big familly, I tried to help but I can do nothing for you, it's too late. (by the way, did you try to sale them as spare parts? kidneys, corneas, leaver, lungs, etc... ) H3

Hmm lot to think about here, you French can get enthusiastic about chopping people up, in our revolution we contented ourselves with chopping the king's head off your method was to fill tumbrills with them and any others you had room for. Frankly I actually like the children when they have not broken anything.
PS did you know that a certain Frenchman Dr. Guillotin visited Halifax where he saw a 'painless engine of death, he modified the design and with an angled blade instead of a curved axe shaped one, this device is to be found re-erected in Halifax West Yorkshire which is my home town, they also had one in Hull.

I didn't know, interesting. Do you know the name of the inventor of such "archeonoblechopper"? H3
