2015 is starting well - Morgan beanie hat for Christmas and then picked up the +4 on Friday (big thanks to all at Williams, including the spaniels) and drove home just managing to avoid wet and/or salty roads. Thanks to help from posters on this site the car had adequate ground clearance to get up our drive with no scraping and the car also fits in garage and you can open the doors (a result!). Does life get any better? Yes it does - today was beautifully dry and sunny in Bucks this morning - so took the green beast (now known as Connie) for a short run to get the paper. Shame, the only shop I could find involved a 28 mile drive !? Magical. I now know what I have been missing for the last 40 odd years. I promised a few photos - so the following may be of interest - thought I'd show the business end - the 2.0 GDI engine - and also that view down the bonnet. Thanks all for your help in getting me to this stage ... now the fun really begins.

John - you may recognise then that two photos are at the entrance to Shardeloes/Amersham Cricket Club and the other 'over the bonnet' is on the 418 towards Great Missenden. Not far away!
Apologies, unsure why the photos do not appear in post and only give links..

Richard Stunning looking car you must be delighted. I missed out on the the forum before ordering my car so would be interested to here what you specified to help with the ground clearance as mine still scrapes slightly getting in and out of the garage.

Andrew- thanks for your comments and yes, am really delighted.
With regard to the ground clearance, there was a useful few posts on ground clearance further up this thread which enabled me to have potential solutions if +4 or 4/4 did not have sufficient ground clearance to get up our drive (many cars bottom the front valance or low cross-members on our drive entrance).
In the end, we tried both up our drive and luckily found both will clear - but +4 has to be driven slow with not a lot in it - but it can be done. Maybe Keith (Burgandymog) or Peter (Gambalunga) ideas of 185/70/15 or 195/65 tyres is useful to you? We had this 'in reserve' in case a +4 did scrape - but, in the end, didn't need it. Our +4 is standard tyres only (195/60/15) - just checked. That's only about the 40th time I've found an excuse to go into the garage since Friday !

Richard, then you are very close. As for grounding the gearbox chassis member was the culprit on my +4 and the exhausts or chassis bolts that protrude at the rear on all my cars leaving the drive v steep to the road v steep.
