Update guys and gals.
My car being a 1999 4 seater is one of about (as a guess) 350 made between 1998 and 2006, I purchased a Librands rack and then examined the luggage made by Steve Simmonds, he sells a suitcase that is 75 cm wide, my rack has sides, this is good for security but the space inside is 72.5 cm across, ergo suitcase too big. The resourceful Mr S has turned up a 72 cm wide case, is fitting me a storm cover for it, a security strap with high brake light to replace the one in the hood and on top of that a boat bag. because the suitcase sits well after consultation he offered to make a bigger boat bag for this application.
I am looking forward to the result, not necessarily the bill of course.

When I first reads that, I though you were saying Mrs. S was going to bill you for the modifications she had done. Will be interested to see the result Chris. Brian has found a chap who will knock up a case for the back of the Aeromax, I've put my name down for one as well. With such a strange shape, it is important to get the most use of it.

He's not fitting a boot rack please. See Simon you do need Ivo's shooting brake.

I'm afraid that it is worse - he is going for a boot / roof combination.

on our dec '99 4-seater we've got a fold down luggage rack. we then have 2/3 leather suitcases which stack up on the back. we got leather straps made my a saddler to hold everything on. not only can you get loads of luggage on, but it doesnt look rubbish

A bit sad, Berrybrook has a nice mid green colour one (an early '99 as it is a T plate (mine a V) but very similar car with green piping to stone leather but this has just been sold although they had it a few months, gone nuts out there the sales of Morgans.
I'll let you know if another comes along, just for info there are 2 more 4 seaters there, one is a B prefix plate (1984?) 1600 for under £13k and a later 2.0litre Rover plus 4 for about £20k in stock now, nice car the Rover Plus 4 but a bit price heavy, scarlet red with black upholstery
The garage like to keep a 4 seater in stock and will buy one from another dealer if they are out.

Perhaps a cheaper, but still bespoke solution, is possible. Hillsalive http://www.hillsalive.co.uk/page11.shtml(Rob Hill - well known in MSCC circles) makes a pair nylon material (cordura-type, in a range of colours) fitted bags that fit behind the seats rather like the French luggage advocated by H3 but a fraction of the cost. And the suitcase used by Steve S is the Samsonite American Tourister, which has a weather sealing o-ring - but personally I think the large sized one he offers is too big. I have a medium size one (auspiciously, bought some years ago without this use in mind!) which can be strapped to the luggage rack without casuing as much interference with the rear view. I plan to get a local sailmaker to make me a cover in black waterproof "duck" material. I do like that French luggage, though... Nigel

That is a good effort, never heard of these guys before,
The 4 seater of my type has small cubby behind each rear seat, did wonder if I could get two shaped holdalls that just fit but for now I think that a couple of rucksacks will have to do.

I would suggest a call to Rob at hillsalive, very friendly chap BTW. Rob is always willing to entend his range of his range of bags. tell him Steve sent you (I drove his wife to their wedding in my Morgan 3 years ago.)
