I've purchased the 1934 Morgan Three Wheeler that Melvyn Rutter had for sale.
This is an unseen, untested, mad purchase but my +8 was getting lonely and needed company!
Hopefully I'll be able to collect it next week and will no doubt be in need of lots of advice.
I would have loved a motorcycle twin engine version but sadly don't have the funds however this looks like it could be loads of fun to restore.

My understanding - perhaps incorrectly? - is that older M3W ownership is helped greatly if you have an engineering background.

I spoke to an owner of a lovely one at Brooklands and he was saying that many of the parts on his particular model necessitate bespoke manufacturing when they need repair or replacement. He was a very interesting guy and I am always impressed by those who are able to keep their vehicle on the road with their own bare hands, a few tools and engineer skills.

What a charming car, have great fun together.

I assume you are already a member of the three wheeler club? If not, join, quite a lot of bits are available to members via Mogspares.

Of other suppliers, Small Ford Spares should be very useful to you as they do a huge quantity of bits for the engine.

Thanks for all your good wishes.
I still haven't seen it and will have to wait at least another week for that pleasure.
I will be going to the local meeting of the Three Wheeler club and joining ASAP.
I'll let you know how more when I've actually got possession along with some pics.
I do know I want to get hold of a correct E93A engine for it.

Interesting to find a 1934 F2. Is that one really originally built as an F2 ??
I didn´t know they existed that early. According to my papers they were introduced 1935.

Chassi number F48 is a very early one, I have an F4 chassi number F58 with first registration May 8th 1934.

Congratulations - you will have much fun with your 3W - they are very reliable.
Buy "Morgan Three Wheeler Handbook" from MTWC, there is all you need to know about your gem.

I understand there is a large history file to come with the car so I'll get back as soon as I have the info.
At the moment I'm just going on the info from Melvyn's website.
I am definitely going to join the local Three Wheeler club as they have been so helpful when deciding on a remote purchase and would think given my knowledge the handbook is a must.
