Hi Simon, Prior to moving to Canada I felt the same way but after 35 years the novelty has finally worn off. When I turned 50 my gift to myself was a snow blower, best gift ever!!!!!
I think mine is based on having spent two decades in North America and therefore missing it. Nevertheless, whilst I can see the work/issues associated with snow, I still enjoy it. I'd possibly feel a lot differently if it was imposed upon me for months at a time!
