When I first met Budster, he was keen to introduce me to 'Stanley' before the gorgeous Lady Budster. Both impressed me.
 Stanley was named after both the lovely Lady Budster's father and it was the "S" in HFS Morgan. Also it really seems to suit the character of the 4/4. In my defence regarding the introductions, I seem to recall tlLB was chatting to NeilM at the time.

Having a 1 week old all black new 4/4 my partner asked if I had a name in mind..my initial reaction was to name it after Guy Gibson's (of Dambuster's fame ) black dog's original name ..those of an age will know this name is now a definite non pc no no, so we settled on "blackie"

My 4/4 is called Reginald. All my cars have been called Reginald since my mother in law named my first new car ( a Rover 216 Vitesse) Reginald just before cancer took her. It's sort of stuck.

Blackie is probably marginally better than the N word, although whilst I was living in Cape Town many years ago, Blackie was used a lot, although pronounced with a Thick Afrikanse accent - "Blickie"

Blickie I like ...I may have a black script made up...on a black car it will not be obvious till you get close and then most people won't understand.

My Corsa Red 4/4 was called Maureen.....after Maureen O'Hara - a gorgeous redhead in the film "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne.
She was exchanged for a Corsa Red plus8 that is named Scarlett.
Much feistier and a scarlet woman for tempting me.

KLE are the grouped Alphas in my +8 plate and I thought it might be a nice idea to give brains the opportunity to name the car when I arrived home in it back in July.
I gave her the keys and she took off to give it a little exercise returning and pronouncing that "it's very nice but it won't catch on" !
She didn't like the names suggested by the Alpha's as they were Kylie and Kathleen so "The Morgan" it is.
