the engine it is the same as the 4-cylinder Mutang (without turbo)?, the risk of power derived upwardly I do not think you can compare the two vehicle because it was not originally designed in the same spirit

Not for me. Mechanically seems OK, but I thought it was going to transform at any moment into a 10 foot tall monster and eat the driver and his mate

The engine is not a Ford. It is a 2.4 litre Ecotec from GM.173 hp, it would be a good choice for a Plus 4.

"it was not originally designed in the same spirit"
Yes, that perfectly describes it.

The engine is not a Ford. It is a 2.4 litre Ecotec from GM.173 hp, it would be a good choice for a Plus 4. I have that same motor in my '13 Buick Verano. It's a great running and powerful motor for the size. My car gets on average 32 to 34 mpg. I believe the "drive package" is from the now out of production Pontiac Solstice and the Saturn Sky. They were an inline drive with 5spd trans. This should be a VERY dependable drive line. With all of the quads and larger off road vehicles that Polaris has had over the years I'm sure the BB will be of the same brute strength that the motor/trans exhibits. They also have tons of rear belt drive experience with their Victory line of motorcycles and now with their acquisition of the Indian brand of motorcycles, they seem to be cornering the market. I'm not a big fan of the Slingshot design, but I have to respect their engineering and target market. I'm sure their target with this low of a price point will be the 25 to 40 age group where the M3W is probably geared more towards the same demographics as Harley Touring bikes, 40 to 70 etc. I'm wondering about how Z has been doing and if he's received his Slingshot that he has on order. It would be interesting to know how he likes it compared to his M3W.

Polaris Stops Slingshot Sales To Fix Steering And Roll Hoops... Polaris is asking everyone to stop selling and/or driving the Slingshot immediately because of a potential issue with the steering bearings which, "should they fail, will result in unexpected loss of steering control." http://jalopnik.com/polaris-stops-slingshot-sales-to-fix-steering-and-roll-1680065216

In stock trim it produces 140bhp, but with the MBE ECU it produces in the region of 170bhp. I can confirm that it does indeed make an excellent engine for a Morgan!

I'm sure the Slingshot is very capable and does lots of things very well and in comparison to the M3W good value for money. For me, that's where it ends. Buying a Slingshot would be like going out to buy a Focus ST. It's trying too hard to be whacky. It would be the M3W for me....

To be perfectly honest, I can't conceive of a reason why one would want a Slingshot in preference to a Caterham.
I get the M3W, it's an unbeatable combo of driving fun and retro charm, but I'm afraid the Slingshot is lost on me.

The Slongshot is the exact opposite in design to the M3W. Why should all people have the same taste? I could imagine that some Slingshot owners would not drive a M3W even if given free to them.
Lots of sport car fans consider the Mogs to be very strange and outdated too. Would be a very boring world if everyone would have the same taste.
