My strap has the sheepskin lining which seems to do a good job of protecting the paint although I do like the idea of added protection offered by installing the film protector.

At least they are functional on the 4 wheelers! I like mine!! oh no, does this mean I have to put a strap on the bonnets of my Plus 4 to stop them opening at speed? I understand that in Somerset and possibly Devon, baler twine is the material of choice Wiltshire too...

I spose at 170, 180mph Paul, there might be enough pressure to lift the bonnet? As to the bonnet strap, I bought one and sent it back when I realized that it wasn't fastened to the body. I was having trouble fastening the front dzus fasteners and thought the strap the answer. I finally solved the dzus problem with 1932 Ford hood fasteners which (as my Brit brothers would say) work a treat and look quite "retro". Purchased from Speedway Auto here in the states, in either chrome or stainless. Its raining here in California to day and feeling acute withdrawal pangs--and no Morgasm in sight
