Quite odd, the term sports exhaust! as track noise levels are more stringent than on the open road!

I fitted the Rutters ones on my Roadster. A nice sound, not too noisy. The Librands system on my 4/4 was too noisy for me.....great at the start but tiring on a long journey.

IF the exhaust on my Plus 8 is standard, and I've no way of knowing, it is quieter than the Roaddster at normal road speeds when wandering along with other cars, but as soon as the engine is asked to perform it gets nicely loud, up to about 4500 rpm when it starts to get very loud indeed!
The tone is a delight, deep with a wonderful V8 burble...!
I've listened to B8s with side exhausts and for me they are just too noisy...!

I have the Rutter sports silencer on my 4/4 sport.....just right IMO.....makes a nice rorty sound ... But does not hurt the ears!

What's the impact on noise by cutting the tail pipe back near to the silencer and adding a side exit to the pipe?

Not an unacceptable impact , in fact I expected it to be a bit too much , easier to hear the pops and bangs and looks amazing , easy to spot on cold mornings driving off with condensed gases out of the side of the Mog !
Geneva 2016 plus 8' The Green Godess' 4 side exits .

I can't comment on the "Modern Classic" but my 85 has a Stainless sports system A a nice 4 into 1 manifold. No Cat Single silencer /semi sports (no tail box) WORKS FOR ME. I can only link you to a you tube clip of mine ( before I bought it & with its last owner) The Semi sports sound is pleasant and does not annoy your ears on a long run. I've had my days of full sports sounding pipes on Japanese motorcycles. I forgot to add that I have the accoustic end on my Librands and it is easy to live with. I may go down the throttle bodies and manifold route too

Will it make a standard exhaust a bit more noisy do you reckon cutting back to the silencer?
