Personally I use all options, sun visors, polarised Ray-Bans, and tweed flat cap (never a baseball cap, thank you). Yes , agreed on headwear , its got to be proper gear or nothing ! It's horses for courses, could never bring myself to wear an old mans flat cap

I have an old baseball cap. Works a treat. + 1 As far as I can see a baseball cap is only good for keeping the sun off the back of your neck  For summer wear I also have a light weight Borsalino driver's cap. It is a type of flat cap made with a cotton blend material and has perforated leather side panels.

Need to have a good read of this thread - just driven 100 miles to the Ledgerwood day, blinded by the low sun and noticed many of the cars had sun visors.
Normally wear a peaked cap, but need my warm beanie in winter.

Ferrari F1 some times market a 2 peak base ball hat,with their 2 drivers on oppo. sides. During their glory days this was to cover themselves no matter which driver won. Friend of mine had one.
