Somehow I missed these last two posts, sorry and a very late thank you to both. Robbie, from me and Leo please give all the PaddyMogs our best wishes for this season  David, about this post: Immediately obvious was the lack of paint on the calipers. That is a good thing because the paint used before was not brake fluid - proof. The rectifier is mounted sideways now as opposed to head - on. And the uprights to cure bump steer look different on this one for some reason. The exhausts now have a different profile where they bend slightly before the silencers. It still sounds mega though.
I'm sure more will become apparent when I eventually collect it. My car's rectifier is also mounted sideways. Don't know what "calipers" are. About the "bending" exhausts I'm really curious. Do you mean the sideways section (between the flexible part and the silencers) or do you mean the headers? Because if it is the headers bending downwards I suspect that is because someone at MMC decided more clearance was needed between the headers and the plastic of the turn signals. And while they achieved the needed clearance (at least my turn signals show no sign of melting, even with glowing headers close by), they compromised the clearance between same headres and the front suspension, if a Suplex set is fitted. This was Peter (Gambalunga) suspicion when he looked at my M3W's apparently "bended" headers a few months ago. More on this when I get my car back from the workshop tomorrow. Currently there to fit the new shorter springs and spacers from Suplex. EDIT - Tricycles don't need front license plate in Portugal so I took it off. According to my son now it appears I have two machine guns at the front. It's the Hurricane/Spitfire analogy I guess

Got them. many thanks!  I will try to replicate your pics with ones from my own M3W so we can compare. That extra welding is intriguing, can't figure out what purpose it serves. Love the Grifith btw, count me as a very jealous man now! Btw is your car #50? My dealer told me the M3W Brooklands series is over now, last one recently sold, I wonder if it was your second one to close the production. PS - About silencers touching the heat shields, I have that problem on the right side, since the second set (fitted at Williams). After a few miles the exhaust tube, with silencer, "slides/rotates" clockwise up to the point when the silencer leans against the shield. After a while, when the silencer is no longer hot, it is as simple as pushing it back to its place. I tried to tighten the bracket (or clamp?) but it didn't make any difference. I Specifically asked the guys that are now fitting the 3rd set to see if that problem gets solved.

The numbering is not sequential as you could buy the number you want for a measly £500 !! All are sold now though.

Mine is #33, didn't pick it but I like that number. Guess I saved 500 pounds then  (this reminds me I noticed yesterday that my M3W's wooden frame is #1056. Still need to check the other numbers and place my car in the registry thread)

I did see a polished body brooklands at the factory several weeks ago in what i imagine youd call dispatch over in the areo 8 shed and that was a LHD version. Still was partially covered in protective plastic film.

I have the latest modified exhaust on my Brooklands number 28, there is no visible difference to the originals apart from more weld visible at the seams especially at the rear of the silencers. The steel is thicker (apparently) and thank god they sound the same. Mario am interested why you are altering the front suspension, the best thing for me about the car is how it handles, especially over bumpy roads, It really feels well sorted.
