Thanks Jeremy! Sadly I'll not be doing tours for the foreseeable future frown

John I'm so sorry to hear this. Hope you're not in too much pain and you mend soon. You will need to spend even more time on TM to avoid withdrawal symptoms if you can't drive Nero!

Best wishes from Karen and me

Oh no Jays, that is not only painful but incredibly bad luck! That's two people I know with broken ankles...who will be next...?

Tim, husband of Chris, one of Caroline's friends, did exactly the same but made a bigger mess: 3 hours surgery to pin the ankle back together... He spent Christmas in hospital, they let him out yesterday. He is in a wheelchair. Chris is an ex nure so no sympathy at all!

PS: Hope the helicopter ride was at least a small compensation!

Peter

Bad luck! You have my every sympathy.

I suffered a freak dog walking accident 5 years ago which resulted in me suffering a fractured skull and being invalided out of the Royal Navy. Basically, I tripped in a pothole, stumbled into another and then the third saw me face plant on the kerbside.

The dog sat by my side while I was unconscious, barking for help apparently. He has never discussed the matter....

Well after a month of inactivity I strolled into the garage and checked all the fluid levels/ tyre pressures and started the car on the first turn of the key !
So my Maplins solar charger ( 2.4watt 12v) does its job
A quick spin to bed all the brakes in and burn the rust off the disc's
I have now put her away until next year

Have a happy new year one and all
