HAve to echo Simons Post - I'm on my second car from SGT. Always helpful, and a place I find myself popping into for a chat if I'm passing.

Julian is relaistic in his pricing, and honest in his descriptions. So many car dealers treat you as a 'one off' proposition, whereas the SGT Morgan philosophy is definately one that aims to create a long term relationship so you come back and buy again in the future.

Another SGT fan - Julian sold my Series I for me in record time. smile

My new Aero 8 is on order with him and when I was having difficulties getting a reasonable price on our Maserati, he phoned round his connections in the trade to see if he could place it for me. cheers

In the end I was able to do a deal with the Porsche Dealership for the Maserati and it went today shocked2, but great customer service from Julian. flag

As the "New Boy", I have to agree with the comments made re: Julian from SGT. I'm still at the early "just looking" stages at the moment. Popped in there at the weekend and found him and his younger colleague very helpful and not at all pushy.

He also followed up with a short and polite email yesterday.

Pleased to hear SGT has improved over the ten years, when I went there Morgan's were well down their list of priorities.

I've been really happy with Richard Thorne's over near Reading. They look after my Aero and the Flat-Rad and know they are servicing agents for the Carver too.

For those that want to race or just a bit more performance they have some nice development stuff for the series 1 Aero's and the traditional cars.

You know, ideathere are Dealers North of Watford Gap..........
before I sold my MG gloomy, I called in at Ledgerwoods in 'North Lincs' which is my nearest Dealer, and was greeted like an old friend. Phil is into old bikes and trialling and both Phil & Joyce are heavily involved in Club activities. In the end I bought my Roadster privately but would have preferred a Dealer deal, it was just that they didn't have a suitable car on sale and I 'couldn't wait'. I've called in since (to buy accessories wink ) and on each occasion a cup of tea/coffee is immediate and the facilities are spotlessly impressive. I have no connection other than as a very satisfied customer.
In contrast, I sent an e-mail to the dealer (even further North) who originally had my car as a demonstrator in 05, to see if they could add anything to my history file and have not even had a reply saying 's*d off'. Maybe I'm missing the point, but I would have thought 'Customer Service and 'follow up sales' go hand in hand. This is not always the case.

I stopped in at Ledgerwoods on Friday night just to have a look (after hours) as I was up at Appleby shooting. looks quite a nice set up but in an unusual location.

My driver was telling me that he has a good reputation in the area and now he is doing Morgan's, seems to be doing well.

Looks like he has US model +8 in his stock, unless it was a customer car in for work.

Apparently it was a 'small village' Rover outlet until BMW took over and closed all the small dealerships. I like the 'Beamish' quality of the buildings - which go back further than is obvious from the road.

for those of you bringing Mogs over to Germany, I can highly recommend Flaving's of Unna. They have spent quite a bit of time getting my little girl back on the road each time. Its run from an appropriate garage with an amazing dealership down in Dortmund. All members of the team that i have met are always friendly and helpful. Always happy to chat about what work is being done especially on unusual problems. No need to worry about language barriers as they speak english and german.

Inde101, I've heard nothing but good things about Flaving and I'm planning to have my service done there. Even if that means I have to cross the border. (I'm located in Belgium) thumbs
