I once had ambitions to sail around the world. Now I am lucky if I get to sail around the lake.

Lake Como is lovely but I must say that I do miss Sydney Harbour and the ability to sail out through the Heads. There is nothing quite so nice as a fine day out on the ocean with all of the troubles of the rat race left over the horizon.

So true! I've just come back from 2 hours sailing on the Severn with a friend on his boat. Apart from one ship on its way to Sharpness, not a soul on the river. Good wind, a shower or two, sunshine, cold - great way to spend a Friday afternoon!
