nice video, I personally appreciate driving with a direction less geared down (more direct) seems to me best to make the circuit.

Thanks all for your interest. thumbs

Call me crazy but I got to say that this past weekend I finally felt at ease with the "owning a second Morgan" thing. Because I did with it what I like to do, and it complied.Of course I like to cruise, and it's always a joy to do it with the M3W, but it is also a joy to do it with the Plus4, although in a very different way. And my beloved Plus4 is both the lady to court while dancing a waltz and the woman to love while doing ... hum .... hillclimbs grin2 so up to this weekend I could hardly justify owning the M3W too.

So, now it appears that the M3W, almost 4000 kms in, is at last settling and giving me more pleasure than worries. I'm still waiting for the promised replacement Suplex kit but to be honest while before I was cautious of getting another one, now and after I tried the car with the stock Spax ... I coun the days untilk I have the Suplex back on. It really makes the car different, and I would say that medium and high speed stability are dramatically different (better) with the Suplex units. On uneven or slightly bumpy roads, old pavements with patches of new asphalt, anything above 80 km/h is now made with a much firmer grip on the wheel. It really moves a lot more than it did with the SUplex. Not saying to a dangerous level as used to be said about the "bump steer" in the pre- 2014 model, but not the steady wheel I knew and drove from England to Ireland to Spain to Portugal last summer.

Anyway ... The M3W, if properly sorted (and I hope mine is), is great to own and drive. It is a vehicle built for one thing: to have fun.

And the pure GRUNT of that engine, for lack of a better word, coupled with the awesome noise (made "awesomer" by the Brooklands exhausts), gets to you. Still the Plus 4 is my first and greatest Morgan love, but to be entirely honest, when I'm driving it I'm missing THAT noise LOL

Sorry for this endless rambling but I am indeed very happy that my M3W had last weekend its "debutant" dance. Still a bit rough, and I still need to find the proper wat to drive it, we're not still a perfect couple as it happens with the Plus4, but all things considered we did ok.

A few notes on some replies:

Calum - They are the Avons, and I shuold have raised their pressure before tackling the track and all those U-turns and tight corners, but it was all a surprise thing and we only knew about it on arrival. I want the Blockleys but can't justify them until these are, at least, a litle worn.

Pants - I found that funny too. And mind you, there were no electric Prius running, behind me at the start you can see two E-type Jags, but their sound is no match for a S&S coupled to a pair of Brooklands exhasts laugh2

Wiscos - I did hit the limiter, and I think you are right, probably went up to 6K RPM. It was stupid but when I was about to change to 3rd gear my son signals me I'm going too fast for the time I was supposed to achieve (less 15 seconds than 1st lap). I hesitated and held 2nd gear when I was about to press the clutch. And then made a mess of the braking and almost went off the track LOL

PaulJ - Indeed a very tight track, that's a go-kart one. All in the name of safety and low speed fun, we can't gocrazy at Estoril or Portimão without helmets and other safety devices. I think you are right, a bit of negative camber might help. Not sure how it could affect high speed travel though, will need to go careful with any sort of changes.

Matty - I suppose you're telling me I'm doing it wrong. And you are prbably right. But I was desperate for oversteer and tried to have a bit of it one netry in what is commonly called "lift-off oversteer". Got some, but not enough, and no scares because of it. I suppose going solo I might have had a livelier rear wheel behaviour, but as it was I didn't have that chance. I suppose a bit more of pressure to make the tyre harder might do it, but again must test it in a safe environment.

To all, thank you for your comments! smile

Love it Mario. The noise is the thing which every passenger of mine remarks on the most.

@Mario
The Brookland exhaust does have a different/larger silencer chamber than the standard pipes have.
Does this fitting provide additional BHP or torque or is it just a different sound?

Great footage!
The track looks v tight ...like a go kart track.

The M3Ws gearing does not help with keeping her on the pipes/revs up high.

Loved the in cockpit section!
