Any one got experience of the heated seat mod available for the M3W is it a factory mod or do you have to go via a dealer?
Cost - Time, Booking etc
I'm really interested in this at this time of the year (Brrrrr), so any info is appreciated

Can I add, has anyone found a none factory or dealer fit heated seat cushion, which should be able to be retro fitted for substantially less money?

Allon White fitted them to my 2012 M3W before the factory offered the option. Worked well with adjustable temperature control.

We use Keis heated jackets, these are very toasty, you never need them on the maximum setting in the M3W.

Great post Rog G Keis are fantastic & I've got the vest I use on the m/cycle - Milwaukee make a jacket too but the seat mod is where I feel I want to be, especially in reducing the pre drive prep time and messing around with chargers - I've also seen heated cushions on eBay which are really cheap but I think heated seats 4 me

MDH, my 3 is on order, and i have the heated seat option on mine. the dealer had it on the demo model and it was great I drove around for a hour in 45 degree weather, and felt fine. the seat kept me nice and warm. and i knew i just had to have that option it makes a world of difference. money well spent in my book.

+1 My 2014 has the heated seat option and cold weather is not a problem. In fact, I usually only leave it on for 10 minutes because it eventually gets a bit too toasty. Money very well spent.

I requested heated seats on mine, but in 2012 this was not a possibility... same with the polished cowl without the bright pack. Good things come to those who wait, I guess.
