My Brooklands ( 2014) is the most difficult car I have ever owned, and with 53 years of driving that's a lot of cars, to fill with fuel. Even when empty it surges back and once it is more than half full one has to constantly keep changing the position of the noozle or else it cuts off. It thus takes forever to fill and most fills end up with sine splashed on the paintwork. In rural France and Spain where filing stations have pump attendants it's a nightmare. One ends up with at best three quarters of a tank. It seems to be caused by the filler insert designed I guess to stop fuel theft and miss-fueling. Do other owners have similar issues or perhaps I have a dodgy one I should demand is changed under the warranty ?

I have the same problem with my 2014 Roadster. I can fill up to 40 liters and the rest drop by drop. I have complained the problem with my dealer. I have got the information that Morgan is working on that problem. I am just waiting and I want to solve the problem during the warranty period.

Have you tried putting the filler in upside down. It works on my 4 seater with a 64 litre tank.

On my 4/4 most of the time. I don't have a problem but when I do turning the nozzle upside down so that it points upwards into the filler seems to solve it.

Filling a Mog with petrol is one thing , trying to get a 97 octane nozzle in my z4mc is another at sainsburys as it won't fit !

Isn't there a thread on this about 18 months back. If I recall correctly the rubber filling tube was positioned in such a way that a bend was partially closing the tube. The solution was to re-position the tube (perhaps after trimming it).

Same problem - fixed it with a Brooklands fuel cap.

Same with mine over the years I have lifted the nozzle out of the filler as far as I can to let the air pressure out it helps a lot but its not like a family saloon.
