Aldermog was easy to fill, Tarka is not... Both have exactly the same filler cap.
Nozzle position is critical, holding it upside down helps. Also flow rate matters, at one petrol station with very slow pumps it is east to fill up, at another it isn't. I need to take take the "spare wheel cover plate" off and check the hose isn't kinked.
Another task for the "to-do" list!

Hello, I have the same situation with my 2014 roadster. Holding the nozzle upside down at a 2 o'clock position helps a lot but does not fix the slow filling issue. The maximum capacity of the tank seems to be around 40 liters, if you try further filling, it will just overflow. Maybe it is limited by the way the nozzle goes into the tank leaving some air-room or the build in equipment like pump and filter uses the rest of the volume. who knows? Can those who have managed to fill up more than 40 liter please report?
Regards

I think Peter might be right. If you have a look at the pipe it does usually have a kink in it. I remember that the Plus Eights with two fillers never had this problem because one could vent the tank by opening both filler caps. The other thing is that pumps are often set to deliver fuel quickly. I think patience is called for - where is she?

My new Roadster 3.7 is absolutely the worst of the Morgans I have owned. I vaguely recall reading somewhere that the tank capacity on the 3.7 had been reduced but that is not supported by the latest handbook, for what that is worth. Some time ago there was a serious slow-filling problem with 4 Seaters and Morgan came up with a fix. A similar fix is desperately needed on the 3.7. Don.

Clearly a common problem then, this the first Morgan I have owned and while the car is brilliant in many respects it does seem that Morgan engineering leaves much to be desired; and there seems to be little evidence of any intention to sort these issues out. Perhaps as Morgan owners we aren't demanding enough and just pit up with things on the grounds that it's a Morgan ! My XK 150 never had half the issues and it's 55 years old

The 2006 to 2008 4 seaters had the filler cap on the side panel and later ones had it inset and more in line with the hose to tank. When my 4 seater went back to the factory they changed the hose and improved the flow. Nozzle at 2 o'clock fills the tank. I am surprised that 2 seaters have problems as the filler is pointing up. Having said that my friends +8 had 2 fillers which indicates a pressure problem. I told him that it was because it drank twice as much fuel!

Gentlemen, I had same problem on my 3.7 roadster.
Remove spare wheel and you will see a rubber pipe going from the bottom near side of the fuel tank to the upper driver side fuel filler.
On my car this was S shaped and flattened on the two curves.
The pipe seemed to be a normal straight piece of rubber hose but too long for the job. I just disconnected the pipe from the filler end and trimmed 25mm from the rubber pipe so that the pipe did not flatten out on the curves.
Hey presto - full speed fuel stops !!
