I met a guy at Mog 14 who was awarded a commendation for a locking spare wheel lock unfortunately I cannot remember his name as would be quite willing to buy one not being an engineer ! Does anyone know who he is?

As my car has a wheel cover, I used a cycle security padlock with a springy steel cord (Thatcham Approved) which passes through the spokes and around a crossmember behind the wheel. Takes about 10 seconds to put on and 5 seconds to get off. Neat and simple theft deterant.

We will start this year our first trip through Europe with the Morgan so I would be also very interested to see the locking version.

Wouldn't locking lug nuts work? My spare mounts to a metal support held on with three lug nuts??
Cheers,
Mark

It is funny: I am just working on a nice looking solution made of stainless steal and a chrome finish lock..

I apologize, I totally forgot about wire wheels. The locking lug nut option is only for the alloy wheels.
Sorry, Mark

It's inventive...but isn't it a case of a solution looking for a problem? Just how many morgan owners have had spares stolen?
