The trend goes back far longer....
I first made sales visits to Fluka Chemie AG, now our Swiss facility in 1984 when there were CHF3.1 = £1.00.

But in 1952 there were CHF 12.24 = £1.00

Why We are Broke

As a side note, a number of colleagues who work at our Swiss facility in Buchs, SG live in Austria, only 20km or so away. Being paid in CHF but with all living costs in Euros they are rather pleased with the recent actions of the Swiss Central Bank...for now.

This is perhaps more interesting - and the first older 8 I have seen above the 100k mark.

My hopes for zero depreciation continue!

I lusted after a yellow Plus 8 that the Sydney (Australia) dealer had for sale in the 80's. I could not afford it then and I would not pay over 100k for it now.

It does look as though good money can be made selling Morgans in Switzerland.
