Maybe it's because I don't drive Reginald much at night but I find the 'standard issue' lights pretty good. Andy

Lights on mine are fine too, although only used on country roads at night so far. What would make it even better would be if all the dash lights dimmed rather than a selection as its a bit like Blackpool illuminations in there at night. Entertaining driving through town but distracting on the open road.

My dash lights are either dim or very dim.....or probably better described as very dim and very, very dim!
On the other hand, my headlights with the Cibie conversion are great. On the way back from last years LMC, my brother in law...no great fan of Morgan's....couldn't believe just how good they were!

Cibie H180 headlights with Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs soon sorted out my cars illumination....brilliant! Same here. Then I added to two cibie spots which when added to the headlights on full beam turns night into day.

Steve,
I've talked to Paul at Williams about them. They have a pair fitted to a Landrover and at night the dip beam is brighter and more defined than the standard 7" units. Main beam is quoted as "awesome". I also asked about compatibility with the bulb failure warning system on the Plus 8 and new +4: it seems they don't trigger a warning.
They look, in my view, rather good. Cheaper than a new Aero 8....but still about £650 the pair.

GULP!!!!!' £650! I fitted Osram Nightbreakers to my standard lights. An improvement but not huge. £15 for a pair so worth a try. My front fogs don't add anything to distance visibility. I don't do a huge mileage in the dark and the present set up is ok. Replacing the front fogs with spots would be an option though. Mind you...Hela spots are not cheap...excellent light though.

Sorry, but they look ugly! As with the others: Cibie H180 and Osram Nightbreaker Says he who forgot to take the H180s off the old 4/4 before it went to its new home...

I'm afraid I agree with Graham, they just don't look right for a Morgan, in my view.
I have a very handy tip for improving the ease of driving at night - simply slow down a bit. I find the standard lights with Nightbreaker bulbs are fine for driving at the legal limit on unlit roads.
