My long term aim was to retire at 55.
Circumstances changed and it was put back.
I did retire early at 52 from my long term job as the package was excellent, the aim being to work elsewhere until the finances hit my target.
They did in 2013 and I retired June 2014.
Very strange at first but growing on me!
2015 will be when I branch out and do things/ go places a bit more.

jnr is expecting twins in May....can't wait!

has already planned to spend time with them on a regular basis leaving me home alone.
As the twins grow I will be happily occupied with them too.
2015 calendar is filling up fast!
I miss some of the banter from work but not the restrictions which were far too dominant and affecting home life too much in the last job (8 years).
My advice to anyone is plan for retirement as much as possible with a target date( with flexibility).
Make sure you have interests/ hobbies/plans ready for retirement...my tobacco industry job retirement package included a pre retirement course.
So...get yourselves sorted early and work towards a goal.
Hopefully you can stay on course and above all, get your brain tuned in for retirement.
