A beautiful night drive back from an evening's fine dining at Whatley Manor. Splendid food, highly recommended. Not one, but two 'pre dessert' courses after the cheese and before the main dessert (chocolate and praline soufflé). Classy stuff indeed :-)
The only downside was that I had to forgo the wine as I was driving. On the upside, a crystal clear night and a very nearly full moon made for a wonderful drive home.

Nope. Got all excited when the temperature crawled above zero two days ago, but it flattered only to deceive. A dump of snow on Tuesday, followed by ice pellets and freezing rain, immediately preceded a drop in the mercury to -17 or so again yesterday evening. It did make a very pretty smooth and shiny coating on the snow banks - this picture was taken as I walked to the corner store for a loaf of bread last night. But the roads are still in decidedly un-Morgan-friendly condition.
The forecast has a balmy 5 degrees (Yay! No minus sign!) on the cards for next week, so perhaps it'll start to melt soon...
Just Cheltenham and back today. But had a lovely country run back yesterday with a Fiesta ST (I think) chasing me round the lanes (we were both good boys in the 30 areas) as far as Ross. Enjoyed that and no visit into any hedge whatsoever.
