For those of you who haven't had to venture into the great wide world today, let me save you the trouble: it is chaos!  Some of the worst driving I have ever seen  Pedestrians walking in the middle of the road - brilliant decision to make when the driving conditions, in places, are akin to driving on a sheet of ice.  People misjudging their speed and 4-wheel drifting around blind corners - again, in the middle of the road. Or people in SUVs (guess what, this is why you should have bought your car) driving at 2mph and thereby creating a mobile chicane. I kid you not, I followed a person in an X5 who was doing 5mph max  Stay inside, if you can, and save yourself the hassle.

Remember the last winter we had a fair bit of snow here in Holland - everybody else was crawling along in the inner lane, even the guys in 4x4's, while I had the outer lane all to myself in my 4/4, doing a very cautious and conservative 60 mph... It helps to have grown up and gotten your driver's license in Finland

I kid you not, I followed a person in an X5 who was doing 5mph max That doesn't surprise me... Probably does 90 in the wet down the outside lane of the motorway as well... So true! Julf, there are quite a few reasons why there are so many excellent racing drivers from Finland and that car control is an area they excel in.

If it's any consolation it's raining here.... bottom end of the same weather system..
