Looks like the damage happened at the same time as it was on the trailer!!
Four seater...I would say a 4/4 from mid '70s but the wheels look wrong for this....

Wheels are 80s, not sure when the VW Sport wheels came in, but I had a set for Woodstock (along with others) as I got them cheap.
Car is a 4 seater 4/4, probably too far gone and no engine to restore - shame

My wife's aunt lives on the hill above Gran Cas we visit her every January and have observed this sad case, it was worse this January. Owner said he was going to put the pieces on ebay. It has been sitting next to the ocean for years, probable underwater during the hurricane season so all you have is a chassis number, but if anyone is serious a relative of mine is a lawyer on the island and could act as your agent!

That's the place - Grande Cas. It would be interesting to know how it found its way to its current resting place.
It would be a huge undertaking to recover and restore it but good luck to anyone who tries! The cost would far outweigh the value.
