This must probably be a multiple answer Question..
Can anyone recommend the best water proof suitcase to fit a Morgan luggage rack, about 80x50x25 cm and or a suitable waterproof cover?

The absolute best waterproof cases are made by Peli, the closest size to your specification is the iM2950 at 795x518x310, available in black, green, or sand. Bare case is GBP 185.

I use a Peli iM2500 for solo touring, plenty of space for casual clothes for a week.

Just an alternative suggestion.

Tim is right , if you need TOTAL waterproofing (for photographic equipment or such like) then the Peli cases are the business, however they are expensive for their capacity.

I use a semi-submersable dry bag, which is much cheaper, a 60 litre capacity bag works out at around £55. , and keeps out all that the UK weather has thrown at it so far. As long as it is correctly sealed (and their system makes this quite easy) it is claimed that they will withstand a short total immersion in water. I have not tested this claim (yet!).

They are made by Overboard http://www.over-board.co.uk/duffels.html

I use their small pack for keys and a phone, carried in my buoyancy aid, and I can guarantee this is totally waterproof (having spent several minutes swimming in a particularly retentive feature when I should have been kayaking) I also use a larger one in the back of the boat for food, drink and spare clothing which again is totally waterproof.

Not so good looking, but why not a samsonite? I've had the same one for 18 yrs.
As an airline pilot, it has been left out on the Tarmac in a monsoon on several occasions, chucked about by "those" loader chaps & been on the back of the Mog commuting to work & back. Never leaked.
Just a thought 😊

Overboard worked well in Scotland last year and is ideal for touring. When we stay in one place we use the Samsonite plastic case which has its own mohair cover, but would probably not leak without it. The case is large and heavy when full with MrsW's belongings.

If you fancy the classic look, check this company out from the USA...Saddleback Leather. I own two of their classic suitcases (lg and med) and they're fantastic. Not only do they look phenomenal, they are truly functional and take a beating. I've actually lent them both out to a friend and it looked great on the back rack of his Mog. They're perfectly waterproof(by way of their construction) and are a great "investment" piece of luggage. Shipping may be prohibitive if the already high price isn't.

Very nice! Shame the shipping costs would be pretty high.

Wonderful stuff, but somewhat costly, even for a Mog owner...
