Lovely spot Grange. One of my sisters lives there. I spent the first 19 years of my life across the estuary in Arnside. An idyllic childhood spent mainly on the estuary.

It is a fabulous place - they live in Allithwaite which has fabulous views over the area

My parents have been up there for the last 18 years and we had some fantastic walks from Arnside to Silverdale when they first moved up

A lovely drive out with swmbo in the passenger seat, and no comments on speed or driving ability. Roof off all the way to Otterton to have coffee with Budster and the LOvely lady Budster, a nice few hours chatting and then off to the garden centre on orders of swmbo to show me round patio scared , I think the kitchen is wearing off and feel a new project coming on banghead

Tine to remind swmbo that sunshine holidays cost money, and her car needs a new clutch in think grin2

Still a lovely drive and day out.

I see this is your first post, so welcome to the forum. This is the best it gets apart from actually driving your Mog.

You must have been taking the scenic route if you were heading for Ardfern. Brilliant day for it, though. Very nice to see you too.

It's chilly again here today (-10 with a windchill of -17 on the morning commute) but we had some lovely sunshine over the weekend, temperatures a good half dozen degrees the right side of zero and, with the much of the winter's snow melted except for the banks where the ploughs have piled it, it was time for a Sunday afternoon shake-down run.

I had the perfect excuse - the children wanted to get their bikes out of the garage, where they over-winter within scratching range of the Mog, so "I'll just get it out of the garage so it's not in the way" became a half-day of spanner checks, fluid checks, lubrication checks, tyre pressure checks, and a quick test drive taking the long way round to deliver middle child to a playdate.

Amazing how a journey half a mile or so down the road adds a good ten miles to the odometer, isn't it? smile

I would be cautious, Polar bears might damage the hoods with their sharp claws!
