A warm welcome from tge german north sea shore. The same happened to me in the age of 52 - so it seems as if even men can get wise within years...
I am sure you will enjoy it and wish you many happy miles.

Welcome Mark. I, too, got mine at 50 (having seen a fit-as-a-fiddle friend just keel over at that precise age).

I drive mine EVERY day (well 330ish times a year) and cover about 15,000 miles each year, and I still smile on every drive. You'll find yourself strangley taking long routes home and avoiding the "quick" motorway miles.

However, there is one golden rule on TM : you MUST post a camera picture or two of your new steed !

There are "how to post" tips elsewhere to help you with this onerous task...

Enjoy. You will !

Cheers

Thanks for all the welcomes.
I'd love to do the thrill on the hill once I'm more experienced. But may go to spectate.

I chose sand as the colour Oxford blue hood and indigo blue leather. Will post a pic once I figure out how to

No experience necessary to go up the hill Mark, honestly. You can go as slow as you like & just enjoy the experience. Which is what I intended to do...until I was on the chocks & the right foot slipped to 4000rpm, somehow, and the evil devil inside took over.! I'm sure some of my tyres are still on the hill! laugh2

The colour scheme sounds nice Mark, look forward to seeing some photos!

As Rigef says, don't be worried about going up Shelsley. It's not a competition and you just do it at your own pace. It's such a historic venue both for the MAC and Morgan that it should be on every Classic car owners tick list !
I first did the hill a month after buying my first Morgan as the final part of the MAC Classic Rally. Sat in great trepidation on the start line....and loved every yard of it!

I'm probably more concerned that I'll give it too much welly! I have a distinct racing gene methinks.

Now that sounds rather dashing, can't say that I've seen that colour combo

Look forward to seeing photos
