Do we know if this a replacement for the S&S cylinder head , or just something that is fixed on above it ?
I agree it is an attractive shape , but I would be more comfortable with it if it were functional head , and with a less brazen logo.

Come to think of it, I'd like to have those heads, but instead of the Jap logo, then have my own initials cast and painted.

Or, maybe just get the original S&S covers in "wrinkle black" as SS calls them. Easier and looks "the part", because they are the part.

And that, I think, would be the icing on the cake. Bugger the retro look, get some original thinking going..

The British motor industry in the 1960s used to love this sort of thing - they called it badge engineering.

In which case it should have the much more valid Morgan script.

Yes, Morgan or S&S logos would be much better! The covers look good and give the engine a more classic look.

Most people in the world think JAP means Japanese. It's only us clever Morgan types and a few other relics / bikers that know otherwise.

Mind you, S&S doesn't exactly meet with knowledge or understanding and I will stick with my shiny heads for the moment. Would rather put the Wonga towards the compensator switch which is probably inevitable or the next sprocket!

Hi Guys.
Received an email from Krazy horse a month ago.
The JAP engine mod is only available on new builds.

I spoke with Krazy horse at the MCN motorcycle show in January and they told me that they are waiting on Morgan to decide on which variant of the engine covers morgan were going to use. (why - possible tuned modded variant?) - Black, sand blasted or polished. Once they've done that (so they told me) they'd release kits for sale so it should be fairly soon now.

They've been developing a stage 1 kit first displayed last year at the custom mc show Alexander Palace but not seen since. - they provided me with JAP brochure but it's since went quiet until January.

Anyone else in touch with Krazyhorse?

I spoke to Paul at GFoS in 2013 and he said then that they were developing Stage 1, 2 and 3 setups, presumably for MMC and he also had an early example of the JAP cast rocker cover, which looked good then. Last summer I saw their demonstrator which wore custom pipes (beautifully made) which were the same 2.5" OD but straight through but without an absorption silencer section, with just the slightest perforations lining all along the length. Sounded good and I tried to buy a set, plus JAP rockers, there and then. However I was told they were not for sale, which was a shame. They had a stack of JAP rockers in boxes too....
