I'm not sure what I'm looking at there (I'm not an engineer) smile

But is that suggesting that the output of the 3.7 is higher than the spec from the factory?

Neilda,
it shows exactly that. The engine has about the same power as it has in the Mustang, so 280hp are pure marketing. You can nicely see the power increase at 3500rpm, where the variable valve timing sets in. I thought this is a good reference for those who look for even more power. Further tuning should show at least 320hp to make sense.

Two of the standard 3.7s dyno tested last year at our TM dyno day were registering very similar outputs. Around 300bhp

Lawrie, thats interesting.
What is Aero racing doing then to get 320hp with their ARV6?

I believe that the new ECU gives slightly more and from my driving experience a smoother curve at the lower end. If you put a sports exhaust on you should gain at least 5% increase.

I have to agree regarding the "marketing" and I suspect that the MMC claimed BHP is downrated to avoid awkward questions regarding the +8 pricing (sorry Peter!). After owning 3 Roadster 3.0's, the performance of the 3.7 is in another league IMHO.

thumbs a very good result!

I can only confirm all that has ben said above - see the rolling road diagram of my (former) "the beauty AND the beast" attached here... oops

(i have to admit: that result was after some "fettling" with several areas of the car... innocent )
