I'm old fashioned, much prefer my own control...

I agree, old fashioned I'll stay thanks.
I wonder where this gizmo approach will end? Maybe we can eventually 'enjoy' motoring without ever leaving the comfort of our arm chairs..

I think it's already reached that in trials...

I've had one big moment on wet leaves & mud on a Devon lane. No great speed, probably less than 25, but it just wouldn't slow down. The gap I got through was an inch too narrow really, which meant clipping door mirrors, but no damage. The other driver must have though that I was a loony. Maybe I was.

I had a buttock clenching moment on Dartmoor on a heavily laden BMW 1150 GS. Satnav got me onto a steep gravel laden hill and met an elderly lady in a Morris Minor coming up. No room to pass, my ABS kicked in and I just kept on down the hill. The old sweety popped the car in reverse and down the hill she went pretty smartish! Taught me a lesson about relying on satnavs, ABS and elderly ladies!

ABS can be a nightmare if the wheels are on different surfaces.EG patchy ice or snow, throws the front end off balance. Stick to a right foot.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

Hi, I have a bit of an itch for something rather more 'period' but not exotic (code for affordable!) Quite fancy an MGA TA.. Anyone have experience of these..views? Thanks. Steve, Just spotted this on the way other side of the pond...but with the exchange rate and ease of shipping, this could be a strong value(from what I've seen). I'm not near Atlanta - about a 5hr drive, but happy to make the drive for an in depth inspection if you become seriously interested. http://www.autoshrine.com/registry/TA0351

Utah that's really very kind of you to offer, thank you. But I have just paid a deposit on this...

Nice colour combo Steve....I'm rather jealous! I'm assuming that this replaces the 4/4.....I hope you stay on TM with this gorgeous car. It is at least ash framed, ladder chassis, live back axle....you could glue a Morgan badge on somewhere
