I could still be tempted by a four seater, just for the indoor luggage capacity. There's a whiff of the Ant Hill Mob about 4 seaters, especially if black. That's only on the ones where the floor panels have rotted away

Wow! That photo has completely reversed my opinion of four seaters. I always thought of them as 'carpet slipper and pipe fodder' but that car IS sleek and highly desireable.

Plenty, this is narrow gauge country in the mountains. Also I'm a director of this. www.drhs315.org.

Plenty, this is narrow gauge country in the mountains. Also I'm a director of this. www.drhs315.org. Mark, I'm envious...a railway that has always been close to my heart... Back in the summer of 1973 I rode the line with two vivacious and attractive Texan student nurses. We were on a vacation, I was an exchange student at UT in Houston. It was a memorable trip: I still use the leather belt Jan bought me from a craft shop in Silverton to hold up my jeans. It still fits!! To the point: I have about 50 colour slides from that run up and down the valley. If you might be interested in seeing them let me know!

the 4/4 4 seater is under rated. All the fun of a two seater and more practical! plus they look great. Good choice

Peter,
That must have been a dilema, the attractive Texan nurses v. the spectacular Animas Valley - what to look at first! Love to see pictures, especially from the 70's and '73 was just four years after the D&RGW wound it down. So early D&S days under Charlie Bradshaw. Please post!
I've posted a few in the general gallery just to show what this place is like.
