Stewart,
I'm aware of that as well. My thinking is, they don't do themself a favour. There is allways a competitor that is available and willing to jump in..
Competitor !!............ where ?

Me thinks that's the least of their worries! No competitor in sight if what you're looking for is a Morgan.

I refered to Stewart's business.
Seem that Morgan is in the comfortable position to have no competition.

As already been stated, it can make good business to shut factories at holiday periods but in my opinion, the customer facing part of the business should remain open and provide a skeleton service.

Let's face it - companies, such as Morgan close when everybody else is off to (such as Easter) so has little impact. It's built in to scheduling etc.
I suspect if they didn't do it, it would happen in practice with huge knock on effects.
Having been brought up in Northamptonshire I remember the factory fortnights...

I grew up in Torbay and as a student had a bar job. The pub was in front of a caravan & camp site.
When Glasgow was on holiday the car park was covered in piles of purple sick from too many lager & blackcurrants!!
