That's a bit of a bugger, Jay, hopefully you'll regain sufficient strength in your ankle soon to permit Nero to show its best side again. Shame it's not your wrist that needs strengthening, I can recommend some good exercises for that

Took it out for the first time since early December today. Frightened myself to death at the end of my drive as the brakes hardly seemed to work! Did about five miles, braking hard deliberately and thinking that there was something wrong with the brakes. Then tried left foot braking and locked all four wheels....the brake works, my right leg doesn't! Result...badly swollen ankle  I need to get back in love with the car....at the moment it feels like a pile of sh*t  I know a few owners who have added power-assisted brakes. Also you may like to do leg/ankle strengthening exercises. I have just started doing these. Sports therapist may be able to help.

You have my sympathies..
As we age we heal and recover more slowly.
Caroline has had both hip joints replaced and an ACL replaced in the last 10 years. Each time she paid for a private sports physio (Ex Army Physio) to cause her pain and suffering in order to build up strength so she could ride her horse. Unfortunately the NHS Physios don't expect people of our age to be willing to make the effort to regain full fitness.

have driven the Morgan into Reading today, and this evening i will drive my son to Pangborne before heading off for the ThamesMog committee meeting. Pleased the sun is out

Driving a Morgan on a clear starlit night has got to be one of the absolute best pleasures in life. No Morganeering for me today, a very long day in London and I'm letting the train take the strain...

I've had three sessions, each two weeks apart and the next one in a month. The exercises in the gym are great but of absolutely no use unless done on a regular basis. I have a series of exercises to do at home which helps with flexibility but not really with muscle strength. Looks like the only option is to go privately.

I had a nice 350 mile round trip to Newcastle - as it was business I had roof up so I did not look too windswept - on way home I was "making good progress" on the A66 ... It was very windy and both door tops were performing in alternate fashion which started to annoy me - so thought will stop for fuel in Brough when one side of the bonnet blew open !
Bonnet was secure prior to the start of the trip so don't know if it was wind pressure or the body had flexed allowing catch to undo - but will be fitting a bonnet belt as I jumped out of my skin.
Anybody else experienced the bonnet opening under speed.

No, and as I said on another thread 40 +years of morgans and no lifting, back catches some time come loose with body flex.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.
