Car names; as mentioned in my Posting to 'AeroTaff', my new car will be called "Arian" short for "Arianrhod" - which can be construed as meaning a 'silver circle' in welsh ie SS wire wheels. Also, Ariane with an 'e' (French version) equals the 'Rocket' of the same name. Car will also be Silver; Two Tone - Silver with Grey wings.

What names do other members give their cars, or am I a sad reminder of the days when it was common for even 'family' saloons to be given a name?

Apart from Michaels 'Green Dragon', I cann't recall anybody else refering to their car by name.

I think it was Simon who named my car and it has somehow stuck, but we do name our vehicles.

Miss Daisy:my wife's yellow mini cooper with yes daisies, bumblebees and lady birds on it.

Jack: my range rover sport because it jacks up and down on air.

The Green Dragon: my aero 8 but I blame Simon for that.

Rocky: gone but not forgotten kubota compact tractor that could climb anything.

I could go on but I won't <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

The 'obvious' does not figure. Registration 'letters' possibly, will retire to consider the other possibilities.

You need to think less automotive and more 'global' (that is a hint) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
