No issues, the relevant black car was safely parked up in the development shed! Whilst the suspension remains a work-in-progress, certainly the front-end is much sharper than the current Aero.

Fifty Plus cars sold,Its a shame nobody can tell us whats been done to reduce the price increase chasis stiffness by 20 percent and upgrade the suspension. There seem to be quite a few on here who now exactly whats been done.

Enjoyed the morning at the factory on Sunday but I was surprised how few Morgan owners were there with their cars. The new Aero 8 is creeping up my list of what to buy next but my dilemma is I love my S4 Aero 8 so much I am not keen to part with it and my wife is not keen for me to have 2 Aero 8's in the garage. I am taking her to see the new car at the factory this week in the hope of convincing her that it it would fit perfectly between my current Aero and my SL, fingers crossed

Em The biggest single saving is in the reduction of MMC's margin, they hope that by presenting an improved Aero at an attractive price they will sell more and certainly initial orders seem to show that the strategy is correct. Funny how no one has picked up on SFO's comments in his original post!
"6. Morgan only has around 270 BMW V8s left .. no more available.
7. Future Aero's likely to have 6 cyclinder engines .. this will hopefully make Aero's more of a reasonable proposition in countries which impose import taxes and/or road taxes based on engine capacity (such as Ireland, NL and China)."

I guess whatever early work was done on the Eva GT would be transferable to the Aero 8 - the 3 litre petrol turbo engine.
I've got in in 307 bhp form in my quite heavy 535i tourer and it's a great engine in that car with easy torque and a nice wail as the revs rise. But will change the characteristics of the Aero 6 (!) quite a lot and is a good deal longer too.
Easier to get more power out of too - witness the latest M3/M4 and others.
This is what I was expecting anyway - as we knew the engines were running out and no more are available...

Yes, I'd noticed it. How long will 270 engines last them? not quite 3 years is my guess, longer if they can offer an Aero 8 and an Aero 6 at the same time. And of course if they are able to fit the BMW Twin Turbo 6 then the Turbo 4s will fit too, they are essentially modular. Ao an Aero 4 becomes possible. Once they have the Aero 4 and 6 then there is the potential for a Plus 6 and Plus 4 both based on the Aero chassis. The 4/4 could have the smaller 3 cylinder BMW motor and keep its ladder chassis....for those that love them... Just thinking out loud...

Thanks for the info Aeroman but i like Deano remain unconvinced re cost saving on the suspension till I see it for myself,if i was buying a new plus 8 right at this moment i would rather have the undiluted Chris Lawrence set up it will be rare maybee under 100.Whilst it could be over complicated and expensive to poduce my mark 1 is what he envisaged and thats good enough for me.

Of course it could be a V6 rather than a straight 6. The packaging is a lot better and the F Type Jaguar V6 could be a rather nice engine for it! Perhaps Jaguar engined Aero6 and Aero8
