No it's not. 100LL is the short name for 100 Low-Lead. You know, as opposed to avgas with normal (i.e. higher) lead levels.
Look it up if you don't believe me.

As a newcomer to this, and any other forum, I am on a steep learning curve. Here was me, asking a question about which grade of unleaded people are using in their M3W's, and look where the topic has veered off to. Great fun. Love it.

This is nothing unusual You wait until it really kicks off Insults, retractions, tea, apologies and fish puns (usually in that order)

Super for me in all of my petrol cars. I can feel the difference. Super diesel I don't bother with.

No, bollocks to the fuel. A certain cool damp morning when engines just run beautifully. Is this water injection?

Got any 2 star? While adding Tetraboost solves the lead issue, the resultant fuel when one adds it to normal unleaded is of much higher octane than needed by a JAP LTOW.

I volunteer with a flying museum and am a crew chief on a Mitchell B25J medium bomber. The "best" a gas available to us is 100LL (one hundred octane low lead). It is the bare minimum that our big radials will run on. A big fear is that the EPA will do away with leaded Avgas and then we will be just another static display.....
