Did Reims and the Schlumpf museum in 1990 in my home made 3 wheeler, they were so impressed with it at the museum they told me to park it right outside the front door.

Museum was fantastic, bought myself a Bugatti wallet there which lasted me for over 20 years.

I have not yet booked a Hotel in Grindelwald, what do you propose?

Hotels shouldn't be a problem, tourists are low this year especially from Europe, Switzerland slipped right down the value for money table.

Hotel kreuz und post is where many stay and most have supper. Meeting in the morning tends to happen there. It is by the railway station. Parking is ample there. It is quite pricey though.
I stayed in a campsite for one night and then moved into kreuz und post As it was too cold.

the website has a few suggestions. Im going to book a hotel when I have put another 1k miles on the car and I know it is working well. After my cam problems a few months ago I want to be careful.

If you wish I can help you with a beautiful route through France and Switzerland.
In that case you need to take an extra day but it will be worth every minute.

Hi Laurens,

Could you send me the route you mentioned?

Looking forward to meeting you in Sept drive

Hi Chris,

Yes sure I can help you with a nice route.
But where you cross the channel and how many days you like to do for the trip to Grindelwald ?

Hi Laurens,

I'll cross from Dover to either Calais or Dunkirk.

I'm currently thinking of crossing on Sun 30th Aug, maybe stopping in Reims the first night then 2 nights in Mulhouse to make time for the Schlumpf museum. But if you have better suggestions that would be great.

Then onto Grindelwald arriving on Wed night and I've booked into the Kreuz & Post

Chris, I'm in Mulhouse now en route to Jungholz meet. Can recommend Hotel Bristol on Avenue de Colmar. Reasonable price and secure €4/night underground parking. The train museum is as impressive as the car museum so worth a joint ticket purchase.
