I just don't believe in the excuse "It was an attempt at humour" to hide real intent. Just like Jack the lad's idiotic comment. I don't care if it was intended to be funny. I believe I was making fun of a saying "It takes a sprat to catch a mackerel" rather than "attempting" to "poke fun" at "someone".

The thing is AQM, I think we mostly just don't understand why you view this forum if you find almost everything on it offensive. We're a bunch of (mostly) chaps who merrily love morgan cars, merrily criticise them, merrily disagree and sometimes get merrily cross, but it's not worth being cross all the time and most of us are mostly looking for good humour and good information and helpful advice. I can't see why you bother with us.
Maybe you might see why we find it hard to bother with you.
Just thinking though, maybe we could change from fish jokes to bacon jokes, then you will have done us a favour.

Nick, I didn't find "it" offensive. Some people took offense that other people voiced their dislike for a car interior and basically told everyone to shut up. I defended the need to voice dislikes as well as likes. Then OTHER people took offense, ending with JTL making a dig at my amputated leg, and Stewart springing to the defense of those people and the imaginary feelings of the owner of the car interior. That's not me taking offense at "everything on" the site.
When we reached the end, I did take offense at having my recently amputated leg made fun of, all to defend a car interior and its imaginary owner's feelings.

AQM......my comment about the magic roundabout was an attempt at humour.
What is not humorous is the fact that you choose to assume that JTL's comments, which were aimed at me with my bust ankle, referred to you. I very much doubt that he even knew about your amputation, and if he did, he certainly would not be so crass as to aim that comment at you.

AQM can you please stop taking yourself and others too seriously on what is on the whole a very friendly, good natured and excellent forum
Your constant bristling for conducting arguments and confrontation is starting to bore and really annoy me
And while you are at it can you please change your tag line/signature to something less provocative than constantly directing others to more of your ridiculous arguments, taking issue with other forum members posting interesting and sometimes amusing articles genuine or not
Try changing it something that tells us a little about who you are so you can contribute in a meaningful and more personal manner Stewart, The "Ignore User" facility works a treat... No sense getting worked up over one who is quite obviously some form of troll...
