Same on my plus 4, hold at three o clock position and angle handle down, seems to do the trick.

Each of the Morgans I have owned has suffered from this to varying degrees. The Roadster 3.7L is the worst by far and refuelling is a painfully slow process.

Me too with my Plus 4, very frustrating and if I lose focus for a second I get a boot full too....

I think they all do it I even get a little cough at the end as she throws a few spoonfulls back out. Some nozzles are better than others though.

The Plus 8 seems to fill easily when using some fuel pumps, but with others it either repeated cuts out or blows back if I let it self cut off.

As Neil has found all the pipes are straight and not kinked, indeed the distance from the fuel cap to the top of the tank is barely a couple of inches more than the length of the fuel pump nozzle.

I tend to fill up with the trigger only partly pulled, this can be a bit of a pain but it does mean that I get a full tank and don't waste fuel.

The old 2 fillers are the best ,open both to let it vent, and fill quicker than a LE MANS pit stop. joy

My internal flap (ooo-er vicar) was definitely out of whack. It was about 5 o'clock.... now adjusted to 12. Will fill at the weekend and hopefully that might have eased it.

You should try filling a Supersport - not only does it suffer the same short neck problem but the rear wing means you have to hold it at an awkward angle - usually with the other hand underneath.

I can fill the Disco (75l) faster than the Supersport (35l)

Filling my one was becoming an absolute mare, with the first pour of petrol (a pints worth) pouring back out and down the side of the car.

I took her down to Techniques in Hertfordshire and they found the metal door was opening from the bottom but, worse still, the breather had rotated 180 degrees so the escaping air had to pass through the fuel causing the issues above. All fixed now and, as ever when taking a car to Techniques, she feels like new - very highly recommended, they actually treat your car like it is their own! smile
