Take the really sharp joint between ramp and ferry at an angle, works for me when we go to LM via Portsmouth Caen.

On with the lorries seems a good idea, I have already grounded my GDI on a couple of speed ramps and we have a ferry trip in June. I can't even get the Karcher chassis cleaner under the centre/middle of the car without scraping the underneath.

At what point have you previously asked, as you check in at the cabin entrance to the port, as you wait in line, as you get on or by email before? There will be half a dozen of us together.

We mention it at check-in and they always tell us to talk to the guys when we start loading. The first you talk to will probably tell you to go ahead and talk to someone else, but it is all very calm and efficient even if it does seem a bit chaotic. They have always told us to wait on one side while they decide just when and where to put us. The last ferry we took was from Genoa to Barcelona and they had me back on next to a truck. Unfortunately they then loaded a bus and two campervans that arrived late. Anyway we were still in a good place and got off before the bulk of the cars.

When travelling I usually try to be a bit early and the last couple of times with the Alfa we finished up on a lower deck and it took us ages to get off.

Thanks for that. I'll have a word at check in.
